Every item donated has the potential to make a life-changing difference! When you bring a bag with clothes, appliances and gently used items to your local Thrift store, we process and sort these items, then add them to our shelves and clothing racks for purchase. Every dollar generated goes directly to funding our programs and services that support your local community.

Products we call soft goods are clothing, linens, curtains, blankets, stuffed animals, Etc. It is baled up into 1,100 Lbs. bales and sold to a broker by the pound. Shoes that do not or will not sell are paired and crated and sold to buyers for repurposing. Any metal good we receive is sold to a local recycler by the pound. Cardboard and certain paper goods are baled up and sold for recycling. The funds for this go back into service to the community.
We cannot accept televisions for 3 reasons:
The Salvation Army uses the funds from the family store operation to meet needs for those in need with the necessary food, clothing and or furniture to continue life functions free of charge. Family stores also help enable us to provide financial assistance for rent and utility bills.
Funds generated by the family store operation go back into direct services for those in need in our community.
The warehouse located on Wyoming street processes all incoming donations for three of the four stores. As fast as product comes through the doors or from Home Pick Ups the employees process the best of the best and send to the stores. The flow of incoming donations dictates how fast the product gets to the sales floor. The more donations we receive the faster the product gets to the floor.
