2020 Red Kettle Challenge

Oct 7, 2020 | by Brooks Gilliam

The Salvation Army needs your help to Rescue Christmas!  The need is greater than ever due to COVID-19, and The Salvation Army is working to bring hope to families in need this Christmas.  The Red Kettle Challenge offers a twist to the traditional Red Kettles season at Christmas to raise funds for those in need in our community.  With more people facing hardship this year, the need to serve those most vulnerable is greater than ever.  Our ability to raise vital funds to serve those in need this Christmas and beyond is at risk due to the impact of COVID19. To help meet the increased need, we’re making it safer and simpler than ever for people to donate to The Salvation Army with the Red Kettle Challenge.  The amount we raise in the Red Kettles directly affects how many families we can serve throughout the coming year.  Help us bring hope to individuals and families who are struggling.  Individuals, companies, schools, and churches can all accept the challenge of having their own online Red Kettle!

To Register Your Team:

  1. Visit www.redkettlenow.com (or click on the kettle to the right).
  2. Locate and click on the red kettle for Charleston Area Command.
  3. Create an online Red Kettle.

You will be able to name your team, set your goal, and email your team members the link so they can register.  Then you and your team members can email from your team page your friends, co-workers, and family to support your team.  Share the link on social media and watch donations add up.  The Charleston Area Command Red kettle page will show the total raised by each kettle, who the top team is and how close we are to raising our goal. For more information on the Red kettle Challenge and how you can help us to Rescue Christmas, please contact: Patty Tilley | The Salvation Army | (304) 343-4548 x 50211 | [email protected]
